Who in the heck leaves a successful Direct Sales business?

The past few months have taught me that I need to take more time for what matters most in my life: my faith, my family and my purpose.

I am so thankful for all that Thirty-One has done to help my growth with all three of these.

Thirty-One has helped me form a closer relationship with God. I have met some of the most amazing women of faith and have been brought closer to God because of them. This company has helped me to have incredible trips with my family that I wouldn’t have been able to take otherwise. The Leadership Incentive Trips to exotic locations have been great for my marriage as quality time together is limited with our busy lives. My boys have absolutely LOVED that we’ve gone to Disney three times in the past four years, with two of those being free trips. And Thirty-One has helped me to uncover my purpose, which is to help others dream bigger, become closer to God and live in their true Purpose.

After joining Thirty-One, my “why” became financial freedom. I am pleased to say that we have accomplished many of the financial goals we set for ourselves and I am so grateful that Thirty-One has been able to help us to pay off tens of thousands of dollars in car payments and student loan debt. We are now able to live in our dream home because we have paid off that debt! What a blessing!

I can say with confidence that I have accomplished some of my biggest goals with Thirty-One. I have had the honor of being in Thirty-One’s Leadership Council three years in a row as one of the top 31 leaders in the company. I reached that big scary goal I had for myself of $100,000 in sales in one year. I have had the life-changing experience of sharing on stage to over 10,000 women with thousands more watching from home.

I want to do more of that – more sharing in big arenas and making a global impact. I know that I can do this through my brand, Anchored with Purpose. I am so excited that I’ll be able to help women just like you grow in your faith, your businesses, find your dreams and pursue your purpose. Thirty-One has opened some incredible doors for me to do this!

Most importantly, I want to truly be present for my family. When I left my corporate career to become a hands-on mom, I took a huge leap of faith and sacrificed my income. I lost sight of that “hands-on” a bit this year as I pushed myself to reach those goals. I missed out on those important moments with my family. Not only did I miss half of my boys’ baseball games, but more often than not we didn’t have dinner together as a family and I missed tucking them into bed.

For all of these reasons, I am retiring from Thirty-One. I am so excited for all of the exciting things that are coming my way with this new chapter in my journey and all are possible because of Thirty-One!

I am so incredibly grateful for all of the amazing Hostesses and Customers I’ve met, for all of the wonderful ladies and gentlemen on my team, Team Gratitude, and for all of the AMAZING friends I’ve made on this journey. I am so blessed to have all them all in my life! I have loved our interactions, in person, over the phone, via text, email and yes, online!

I promise you that this decision was not an easy one to make. It was with many conversations, tears, months of contemplation and even more prayers that I have come to this decision. I am faithful that God has put this PURPOSE in my heart and each one of you on my path for a reason. I am so blessed that I have this amazing opportunity.

And I want to put it on the record that I am not leaving because of anything to do with the company. Thirty-One is in an incredible period of growth right now and has had some growing pains as part of that, including some delayed shipping and field support structure changes. My husband and I began the talks of this change for me months ago before there were any shipping delays or changes in support structure. I believe that this company is the best in Direct Sales and I have nothing but positive things to say about Thirty-One. I have so much love and gratitude for Thirty-One’s founder and CEO, Cindy Monroe and her husband Scott. Because she believed in her dream and what God put on her heart and moved forward with it, Cindy and Scott have changed the lives of thousands of women in North America. I am eternally grateful for them!

This morning I prayed for God to give me the right words to say to share this news. He answered them almost immediately with this quote in one of my devotionals: To step toward your destiny, you may have to step away from your security. – Craig Groeschel

It’s taking a lot for me to step away from the security of Thirty-One, but I trust that God is leading me toward my destiny.
